C. Neihart was born at the end of the Dust Bowl era in the Oklahoma/Texas Panhandle.  She grew up on wheat farms in the High Plains Region, playing on endless expanses of land.  As a child she taught herself to draw and paint, inspired by the prairies and the people who made the Plains their home.  She passed her creativity and passion for art to her children; and continues to be inspired by the natural world and people.  Flatland Art showcases her work, and the work of her daughter, R. Dunlap.
